i've heard on the radio that methane has been found throughout the universe on planets and so this proves the truth of vedic culture

First I did not see the connection between methane and the Vedas but finally I got it. Methane is a gas, as we know. Fart-provoking Indian food is an indispensable part of Vedic culture, no doubt of it. So where there is methane gas in the air, there must be a group of dudes dressed in sheets eating subji nearby, thus practicing Vedic culture.

Thus I am Vedic, too. At least a couple of times every day.

i was thinking more along the lines of cows which on this planet produce such large amounts of methane gas, a greenhouse contributing gas, that they are considered an environmental hazard and therefore due to the large amounts of methane gas found on other planets, we can only assume that a bovine vedic based culture is present to produce such amounts

i am not interested in humor... i am interested in science and so i don't think its probable for humans to produce the quanities of methane that the astronomers are finding... plus its neither vedic or brahminical to fart as this is a symtom of over consumption... you go on being funny though if that's your thing... enjoy your next life as a chimpanzee where you'll be more adequately equiped to find everything funny... human life is meant for self realization to break free from the cycle of burp and fart

not true, farting is the major reason so many jivas are kicked out of goloka and have to take birth in this material world... why do you think the nectar of devotion teaches us that we shouldn't fart? its so we can regain our constitutional position

and the fact that so much farting is taking place at bhaktivedanta manor and elsewhere is one of the surest signs that iskcon has deviated

Hey, I was taught in Iskcon that each and every phenomena in the material world has its pure origin in the spiritual sky, passing air cannot be excluded. Any sastric evidence? (with the original sAAnSkRt, please or else I will not accept it as bona fide)

Good Lord! And I did not see or smell that coming? What about burping? The bonafide style of burping is not described in the scriptures. Maybe even there is a deviation building up? One day someone will point his finger at me and say: "Look, he is burping like a sahajiya!".

Here in New Zealand the government tried to implement a fart tax on farmers...as they reasoned that their cows and sheep were contributing to the greenhouse effect so they should be taxed. It never went ahead though because a farmer MP i think his name was Shane Arden organised a big protest and drove his tractor up the steps of parliament

maybe they should have imposed the fart tax on the ISKCON temples...something to think about

Being a novice knowing nothing about your religious protocol, I dread to think how humans can discard gassy waste? Could this possibly be a way to get to the Gods/Goddesses faster? Hold it in ..... internally combust .... then you're there in Nirvana!!!?
