Full Version: The logic of the nipples on the neck of a goat
Gaudiya Repercussions > How We Relate to Spirit > Eastern Traditions
Nitaibhangra
I have always been a great fan of the different kind of nyayas used by Bhuktivedanta Swami , like for example the logic of the moon on a branch , the half-hen logic , the crow and tal fruit logic ...

However , I could never quite enter into the special rasa of the logic of the nipples on the neck of a goat .
I mean , goat milk certainly seems to exist .
But , was Bhuktivedanta Swami not aware of this fact ( similar to his informations of the moon planet ...) , or is it that in his particular culture goat milk is considered asoochi ? Or not used at all ?

Is that a kind of elitism : " Yes I have a cow , and everything else doesn´t work for a thrice-born ... " ?

Now , is that up to the standarts to today´s political correctness ?

What about the bbt-translators working on editions for countries where goat-milk is predominant ? Are such books easy to distribute on the streets ?
I mean people might tolerate the sight of bald book-distributors , but are they going to tolerate insults on their goat-milk-traditions ?

Ps : I wonder if this tendency of Bhuktivedanta Swami , to only give validity to cow-milk , can have its roots in his internal svaroop as a confidential cowherd-sakha ( a theory sometimes sustained by learned preachers of the Goudiya Mutt ) .

Silly you! Have you never seen a Goat? They have nipples on their neck, that do not give milk, they are just "decoration". A mother Goat has nipples on her belly like a Cow, but that same mother goat will also have nipples on her neck, and that is that! By the way, the "Billy Goat" also has "nipples" on his neck. Don't try to read so much into it.

Prakṛti, the total material energy, works under the superintendence of the Lord. The original source of the material elements is Kṛṣṇa. Therefore the attempt of the atheistic Sāńkhya philosophers to consider material nature the source of these elements, forgetting Kṛṣṇa, is useless, like trying to get milk from the nipplelike bumps of skin hanging on the neck of a goat.

can we really say the milk appears in pail from the goat's teats and not socks that have been lost in dryers and transmuted into milk? the illusory energy of maya can be very tricky
