I had one full member report after my changes that he couldn't see the blogs; he gets an error message saying he doesn't have permissions to view them. I can't see anything that should have resulted in this change and he'd read them a couple of days before.
Let me know if you have any problems, if there's more cases then I will talk to my consultant.

We have two reports of this problem. Please check to see if you can go to the blogs link up on the nav bar under our logo. Although my technical work didn't involve blog-reading permissions at all, just forums, something may have affected it and I need to know what error messages you are getting.
Thanks--
Tapati
PS I am sorry for any inconvenience while we track this down, I probably will have to consult with someone as I've already looked for anything obvious.

When Dave reported this to me, I looked at every field I could look at to figure out why my permission mask creation would have an effect on blog reading permissions--since the mask dealt with forum read/write permissions.
When I have time I will ask my consultant; I am very busy at work this week, lots of overtime, so that's why I've been fairly scarce--though I do check in a few times a day.
I am curious about one thing--do the members see the blogs and just not the full members? Or can both not see the blogs?
Since members can post here, can one check out the blog link and report back?

I believe I have solved the problem. Try to go to blogs now.
Apparently there was a separate set of permission settings for blogs, not shown to me when I created the new permission masks. I dug it up in an obscure area of the admin cp.
