Gaudiya Repercussions > How We Relate to Spirit > Freedom From Faith

I offer my respects to everyone on this forum. Since we have a newfound respect for each other, I wish to again return to the important subjects that my friend *** has put forth in a more civil, slower and possibly somewhat more detailed dialog concerning doubts regarding the element of faith and history particular to the Gaudiya Vaishnavas. One point at a time. Stick to the subject and move on one by one. Breif and concise as possible. No endless rebuts of rebuts.
You see we have seen the same things and drawn opposite conclusions. Is the So-called Absolute not able to accommodate two right conclusions? And what is called right? Please put your real doubt here. Give time for a response because of the worldly situations we are all in. Serious inquiries only. You can even vote if you want for fun. We will test our tolerance no doubt.
Please *** I give you the opening volley.
And please, O moderators, allow this to proceed just to see what happens in our newfound happy environment to see if we can preserve it (no matter what).

As long as it does not degenerate into something that would go against this:

2.) Do not bring Vaishnava group or guru conflicts to Gaudiya Repercussions. For places to debate questions of legitimate lineage, methodology, authenticity, or effectiveness in preaching or practice, please look under "Gaudiya Vaishnavism Today" for links.

So, for example, an extended debate about whether or not Bhaktisiddhanta was really initiated or whether the IGM line is valid, or whether the "traditional" GV babajis can claim to be the only true lines, etc., had best be moved to the unmoderated board. As I've observed over at GD, they can lead to no good place.

Other than that, you're welcome to discuss doctrine as long as you don't go crazy. smile.gif
