I feel for the baby having to go through surgery to have its extra arm removed, but if it was a fully functional third arm, it may be considered a form of human adaptation to life in front of the computer. According to this picture, that third arm is perfectly located for having the ability to drink and eat things while the other two arms are frantically working a keyboard! Who knows what the greater powers have in mind, unless of course, this was all due to the genetically modified foods the parents ate!!!
