My old lady has kicked me out so I'm back living in my mom's basement which has become another headache as my mom caught me getting stoned and she has threatened to toss me out. Anyways, my old lady didn't want me getting stoned anymore and then she get's all pissy when I go out and get drunk and come home and wet the bed. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Of course I'm going to go get drunk if I can't get stoned and folks piss in the bed when they get drunk so why is she giving me such a hard time? Is she stupid or what?

So I'm back living with my mom who is on edge from the last time I was home when I tried to sell her home to get money for a film idea I have which I shouldn't even have to be trying to con her out of the money as why isn't she just giving it to me to make the film? Grrrrrrrrrr! Why can't artists get any respect? And so I'm hitting on the bong on my first day back and she comes busting in the door when she smelled the pot saying I'm at the end of my rope.

Anyways, if anyone has a spot on their sofa for me to live or a million dollars to make a movie, lemme know.

tc, babu

Sounds like you got two old lady problems. Or, maybe they got one problem between them?
metamorphosis
Two ladies against the one! Since the lady of the forest (or grow room) causes many women to feel jealous. With her beautifull ripened buds growing with silky blonde hairs! And long slender legs, rising up from the fertile soil!

No not two old lady problems, you have 3 old lady problems!

Knowledge from my sordid past!

Thanks for the support guys. The funny thing about us is that many folks pooh pooh the central pillar of Iskcon philosophy of women being less intelligent but the ways these women have been acting, its make you scratch your head and wonder if maybe it really is true.

Why do you think that I live in a men's monastery? ( Just kidding - No offense intended to our very intelligent women on board).

Still, you might want to try reading that book "Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars."

I saw it in the library the other day and have always wondered about this book so I sat down and read it. I discovered something very useful, but it applied to my own relationship with my mother.

The book basically deals with how males and females want to give and receive love. Of course, I identified with every Mars/male description in the book and didn't relate too much with the Venus stuff. Then when I read about the Venus stuff, I stood back and thought "hey, this is my mom - this is why she thinks that I don't love her and at the same time this is why I think that she doesn't love me."

And again, I realized that since my mom is behaving in usual female ways, she probably doesn't understand that I perceive and give love in very masculine ways. I want my mom to read this book ASAP and at the same time I will try to learn to be more sensitive to the needs of a Venus. I think that the only 3 Venus things I liked to receive were the wanting of backrubs, footrubs, etc., cuddling rather than physical closeness only being associated with sex and help with the dishes - and it doesn't matter to me whether it is a man or woman who shares these with me. At the same time, I like to give these to men and women alike. Other than that, it was Mars 100% for me (especially the bits about men being goal oriented rather than relationship oriented and about the need to periodically hide in the cave to reorient oneself).

I don't believe in all that astrology hooey plus even if I did, this is more of a case of she took all the love that a poor boy could give her and she left me to die like a fox on the run. Like a fox, like a fox, like a fox, on the run.

Babu here is a song for your birthday, do you know the song "FOX IN THE SNOW" ? (From "If You Are Feeling Sinister" by Belle & Sebastian).

Fox in the snow, where do you go
To find something you can eat?
Cause the word out on the street is you are starving
Don’t let yourself grow hungry now
Don’t let yourself grow cold
Fox in the snow

Girl in the snow, where will you go
To find someone that will do?
To tell someone all the truth before it kills you
They listen to your crazy laugh
Before you hang a right
And disappear from sight
What do they know anyway?

Boy on the bike, what are you like
As you cycle round the town?
You’re going up, you’re going down
You’re going nowhere
It’s not as if they’re paying you
It’s not as if it’s fun
At least not anymore
When your legs are black and blue
It’s time to take a break
When your legs are black and blue
It’s time to take a holiday

Kid in the snow, way to go
It only happens once a year
It only happens once a lifetime
Make the most of it
Second just to being born
Second to dying to
What else could you do?

Sorry about what happened to you, Babu. It's gotta hurt. Hope your heart heals with time and you find someone who truly loves you. Always remember that no partner is always better than the wrong partner. At least you know now this woman's true colors.

I remember many years back when I was taking some social psychology classes and learned that there were studies that demonstrated that men, in fact, hurt far more over broken relationships than women. Kind of surprising, but true.

p.s. The book has absolutely nothing to do with astrology at all, despite the title. I don't do astrology either, for that matter.

No, I only know "Fox on the Run."

She walks through the corn leadin’ down to the river
Her hair shone like gold in the hot mornin’ sun
She took all the love that a poor boy could give her
And left me to die like a fox on the run
Like a fox, like a fox, like a fox on the run

Now everybody knows the reason for my fall
A woman tempted me down in paradise hall
This woman tempted me and she took me for a ride
Like a lonely fox, boys, I need a place to hide
And left me to die like a fox on the run
Like a fox, like a fox, like a fox on the run

Oh, we’ll drink a glass of wine, boys, to purify our soul
We’ll talk about the world and the friends we used to know
I see a string of girls who have put me on before
The game is nearly over and the hounds are at the door
And left me to die like a fox on the run
Like a fox, like a fox, like a fox on the run
