If you have not applied "Flip Horizontal" to your image, then the buttocks point West. Your pic was taken at 11:36 and the shadows would indicate a roughly West orientation of the wooden rear end.

If that is correct, then a church West of the anus, if it was constructed after the sixth century, would have its altar, but not its main entrance turned towards the buttocks. In other words, the faithful, when they come out of the church, would not see the wooden behind and would not feel offended.
