And the gong to get gonged by is the gong of Sonam Dorje, AKA Richard Rudis, a Tibetan Buddhist with a specially manufactured instrument tuned to 137.1 Hz (C# on the Eastern musical scale), the frequency of the earth and of the syllable omkara. He does his gong baths in Colorado, New Mexico, California and the Pacific Northwest and he did some baths in Chicago this weekend. Its called a bath because you get bathed in sound vibrations. Everyone lies on their backs in a circle on the floor with their head pointed towards the gong in the center of the room. Its not a giant gong, but its pretty good sized.

You need to experience this event first hand. I wont' even try to describe it, only to say that it is awesome. (Isn't that what the kids say these days?)

Get gonged and get gonged as often as you can - I highly recommend it.
