All right, scientist, why is life not coming from matter now?
You rascal.
Why isn’t life coming from matter now?
Actually such scientists are rascals.
They childishly say that life came from matter, although they are not at all able to prove it.
Life Comes From Life

Oops.

'Artificial life' breakthrough announced by scientists

"Scientists in the US have succeeded in developing the first synthetic living cell.
The researchers constructed a bacterium's "genetic software" and transplanted it into a host cell.
The resulting microbe then looked and behaved like the species "dictated" by the synthetic DNA.
The advance, published in Science, has been hailed as a scientific landmark, but critics say there are dangers posed by synthetic organisms."

Bogus rascals! Or something.

There are obviously all sorts of creative ACBSP evasions to this, but give it a few more years and this should rank about the same as the Moon/Rahu deal.

I suppose Krishnas will argue it's not the real deal because the scientists put their "genetic software" into an already existing host cell (which up to now only God knows how to make). Sooner or later the host will also be synthetically produced, then we know Kali Yuga has come to full bloom. Even then, I think, the resulting organisms will not be accepted as "life". The argument will be that they cannot develop consciousness and love of God. Only when life created in a laboratory convincingly demonstrates certified pure love of God can we speak of life in the true sense. Or so I imagine the arguments may go.

Ek is right. Krishna is one of the best gods of the gaps. As soon as one anti-science claim is disproved, Krishna's presence will migrate elsewhere. Until science explains every last thing imaginable, there will remain a place for the Lord to dwell.

Ditto! Until the scientists clone a woolly mammoth, none of them may dance in the rasa-lila.

I visualize scientists dancing in the rasa-lila dressed up as woolly mammoths. They don't dance so well, it turns out (at least in my deep yogic visualizational trance). If I was a scientist I would give a fart for dancing in the rasa-lila. Man, with all these babas and harry fish nuts, and couple of transmogrified chicks!
