I work at a bar/restaurant and we serve a bread there called jala bread and I tell people it doesn't have any jalapenos in it so there won't be any confusion about it. People tell me its a Jewish bread and so I was wondering why Jewish people don't like jalapenos?

Cute.
That would be challah bread I am sure. All my Jewish friends love jalapenos and even eat jalapeno-cheese bread, but not for the Sabbath or in their challah. -------------------- "We have fallen into the place where everything is music." --Rumi he said change the channel/i've got problems of my own/i'm so sick of hearing about drugs/and aids/and people without homes/and i said, well,/i'd like to sympathize with that/but if you/don't understand/then how can you act --Ani DiFranco My LiveJournal |

NY TIMES: Honoring All Who Saved Jews
My Grandfather was of Jewish ancestry, but he and my GrandMom renounced that heritage when they were being persecuted in Germany. Due to the help of a neighbor in this town in 1933 our family was sponsored to live in USA. My Grandmother in her biography is said to have become a Buddhist later in life. ISKCON has been doing chanting and dancing since they began. If you mean the freeform dancing as opposed to the "swami step" or jumping up and down, at least in America it goes on depending on which temple or which program. I don't know if Scandanavians have that together also. Perhaps at least near some hippie communities if there are any. I assume there must be some. -------------------- I am everybody...and everyone that I know is me...and everyone that I know...won't see....I could have been a dreamer...I could have been a shooting star...I always could have been a dreamer...'cause dreams are who we are...~ Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P. 2010)
