I think it is acceptable to express a view that something someone said or did, including ourselves, is stupid, as in 'not well thought out' and acting impulsively without consideration of the ramifications (the inverse of acting out of love without consideration of results, good or bad).
If someone is really stupid, ignorant of the facts and/or possessing of a low IQ, then it is best to enlighten them or in the case of the later, show them some compassion. To make fun of them would definetly be cruel Take you for example, Babu. In one of your previous incarnations, after Cheif, you advised me to read 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (whose nobel prize writing i was ignorant of until then). It was too weighty for me to read at the time (steeped as i was in the deep dark lake of family life) but i really loved (as much as anyone can love a book or a story or a song) Love in the Time of Cholera, by the same author of couse, and which is coming out in film soon. I thank you as one of my revered teachers for leading me in the direction of such fine literature and i will bow my head to you in gratitude when i see the film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0484740/ However, you say some really stupid things here on GR. I mean, this obsession with licking vaginas in public display.....aren't there at least a million more graphic and detailed sites anyone can go to if that's what they really want to spend our oh so very precious time left to us to talk about or read about. Very childish and kind of stupid, expecially when used in the same context with 'mothers'.. You, Babu, are not stupid but you sometimes say really stupid things.

i really don't think its childish at all to talk about vagina licking. when was the last time you heard a child wanting to talk about licking a vagina (cannot use angrezi's 5 yr. old son as an example)?
