A good idea like putting menthos into a big bottle of Coke, shake and see what happen. graduated.gif

Taking the idea further, if you take 1000 1,5l bottles of Coke, 10000 menthos, put all the menthos into the bottles, while having the Coke bottles somehow directed downwards, with you on the top, maybe you will reach orbital speed?

That's good Prisni, you don't have to of course but now try to make something out of this creepy pork sausage:

You can be the worlds new space program Prisni, now the the USA is retiring the space shuttle, going further than any other human has ever gone, hmmm.... maybe we can finally prove if there is indeed a spiritual sky, all glories to the 10000 mentos!

Gerard, I never knew that Mentos have been around so long, that Einstein was signed on to endorse them, always thought of them as an 80's phenomena. Strange to see Einstein endorse any commercial product really.

I too can't wait to see what Prisni can create from the self slicing porker. ohmy.gif

Le Cochon Prodigue was a brand name "The Extravagant Pork."

This seems to have been their tag line, with the part in quotes possibly a jingle:

On mange avec plaisir et....sans fatigue:
les "bons saucissons du Cochon Prodigue"!.

The words fatigue and prodigue rhyme.

"One eats with pleasure and....without fatigue:
the excellent sausages of The Prodigal Pig."

In the middle of the image it says Saucisson d'Auvergne, sausage from the Auvergne (a district in France). And Pureté Alimentaire Absolute, Absolute Nutritional Purity.

Here is a funny comment:

Le Cochon Prodigue Ad

Having some advertising industry background under my belt, I have spent many an hour in brain-storming sessions pouring over possible headlines and ad concepts. There is a point in those meetings when some of the ideas being put out there need to go right into trash… rightfully so.

So when I came across this vintage, 1950′s ad for sausage by Le Cochon Prodigue, my one and only thought was:

What the heck were they thinking?!

There is something deeply disturbing about this ad that I can not shake. And, while I am a carnivore through and through, I can tell you straight up that this does NOT make me want to go out and buy sausage.
The only question I have left to ask is who was the advertising agency, how many lunch-time martini’s did they have, and how long afterwards was the Creative Director still at his post before he was fired.

That ad has two messages:
1) Pleasure, i.e. sense-gratification, makes you a killer.
2) without fatigue obviously refer to the sahajiyas, who think that bhakti is simple. - No pain, no gain.

So in short, the true religion should be pleasureless and with fatigue, otherwise you are a killer and a sinner, and get doomed to hell forever.

So you wondered why the ad was disturbing..... Subliminal messages?

Mentos was first produced in the Netherlands during the 1950s.

Einstein died in 1955 (peace be upon him), so my guess would be that after his death, mentos marketing somehow starting using his pic and title. He is probably somehow considered public domain being a public figure.

A Diet Coke bottle, shortly after Mentos were dropped into it.

Actually, look at the mentos candy itself. It looks rather like a modern wrapping while the pic looks very old school. Marketing technique?

The commercial titled EINSTEIN was done by Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency for Mentos Candy (for Mentos) in India. It was released in the September 2004., from, http://www.advertolog.com/mentos/print-out...nstein-6428705/.

So it is a 2004 Indian ad. It's a good ad. But I found it, with Kali, strange that Einstein would endorse products. Thanks for getting to the bottom of this mystery. BTW the production of Mentos started in 1950, so Einstein could have endorsed it.

And then the Mentos fountain world record. In Belgium 1360 people started at the same time a coke fountain:

Ya, got that. In 1950 in the Netherlands.

But I doubt he would have been keen on letting a marketing agency call him a smart guy. But yes, theoretically and chronologically possible.

Seppuku is a selfish matter - this pig is feeding itself to one and all without discrimination.

Oops...its a new ad, not old and this is a thread for old ads. Can the mods either delete my post or can we have a thread for new ads which are completely absurd or wacky? Sometimes new ads come out but are nixed for many reasons. But I don't know if there is enough material for such a thread, so maybe better to just delete my post unless it fits in another thread somewhere else.
