When I fullscreened the vid and had to stare at that image when listening to it, I found myself getting a little creeped out. laugh.gif

Even after listening to something like 23 y/o South Indian singing sensation Saindhavi's Ashtapadi (great) from Gita Govindam, I was struck by Lowell George's beautiful singing on this piece. As a vocalist, he's probably more known for 'Willin'. But as an old Feat fan I think this one gets overlooked a little. So pretty I could cry..

How do you create awesome graphics like that fantasy dragonman(?) thing? I would like to do something similar.

The actual black and white latticed artwork background is an image that I had in my digital archives, something I myself did not create and am unsure of the origin. I did put it together with the other images to make the composite you see in Photoshop, but as far as I know, Photoshop has no way to create this type of work without an artist doing it all manually with drawing tools. The original art was most likely created through computerized algorithms by someone who mathematically created the code and let the computer unleash its power, and I don't know of any current software on the market that does this. There used to be a program called "Kai's Power Tools," which let you create various types of fractal graphics without any coding, but they were bought out by Corel in the late 90's and eventually the program itself was never upgraded. Time to get some coding books and go under the tutelage of ePiTau to start your apprenticeship, though if you do some research, maybe there is a software program out there that does create this type of art, but in my search, it seems like all are outdated and not currently available. artiste.gif

Sure was nice to get back to basics after heaping the first 80 gigs worth of albums on my current iPod. I guess it's mostly a convienience factor - once you had a bunch of CDs packed away you had to dig for, now you only have to scroll for them.

Anyways, just listened to all 3 of the first Wire albums. I was trying to think who this song was covered by - was it Talking Heads? At least it was R.E.M. Whatever the case, like pure water I really enjoyed these guys.
