This deluge of makeover shows where everyone comes out looking like Joan London and crying from happyness in the mirror wow i look so pretty! I am a new woman! my life is going to be great now, have so got to totally go. As if bleaching your teeth and going shopping to wear anchor lady clothes is supposed to be a peak life changing emotional experience of your life. Especially the ones spearheaded by those superficial queers caricaturing themselves in the media like playhouse puppets. That and those home decor shows. Picture #2 looks like someone who just escaped out of a Whitesnake video. She should be doing the splits upside down on my red Camaro on my front lawn and then precipitous rain breaks out.

In between there will be this most serious language about putting into prominence this, and distracting the eye from that - in this most earnest dialogue using this ostentatious art rhetoric, as though these are things people just should follow and know. Then and all this validaction and concensus agreement how great this new Katie Couric look is supposed to be, even the long lost grandmother is there on her wheelchair clapping!

I agree, and they never question their paradigm that everyone should look a certain way in order to get social approval, just that they'll feel empowered when they finally get it.
