It seems it is not possible to upload an 1.9MB mp3 file? I tried to add to a reply, but didn't work.

I uploaded a 1.89MB mp3 some time ago in this post.
That worked fine enough. Keep in mind that different computers/operating systems may have slightly different ways of reading file size. I have seen a file on a Mac reporting a different size than on a PC. If you have a software that allows you to reduce the mp3 quality you could try the next lower setting. Or, if you do not want to compromise quality you may just shorten the file (if you have an audio editor). Otherwise you could link to a website where you have the file. Or you could ask a kind soul to put it on their website so that people can access it there. There is an ocean of possibilities at your disposal.

There is a mess: when I am uploading a mp3 file of 1.9MB, it says it is done, but I can't see it in the preview reply. But the "attachment space used" is increasing as if it is really done. I tried a few times, so it says 6.13MB is used out of 976.56MB. So where are those attachments gone?

Hmm, Drejc, looks like you had something going there. I was just in the process of replicating your problem and also got stuck with a 1.9MB mp3 file. Then I reduced it to a shorter version, and as I was just about to upload it, I noticed that the upload limit had been increased to 10MB!
It does seem that some benevolent spirit has worked his magic in the background.
Anyway, here is my test file. Not for the feeble. This is a 2 minutes teaser bass line of a gangsta shloka roundup in the making . . .
Attached File  26_41bars.mp3 ( 1.91MB ) Number of downloads: 135

If they weren't visible under "Manage Current Attachments", you probably hit a limit somewhere, and possibly also a bug in the software. I've changed PHP post_max_size and upload_max_filesize to 10 MB, so it should work now. Works for me.

Attached File  pamu_rider_original.avi ( 6.96MB ) Number of downloads: 106

Now I see: it doesn't show the attached mp3 file in the preview post!!! When I add reply it is there. Thank you and Epi anyway.
