One of the main things I was thinking about when I first imagined this forum was that it would be really great to have a non-ISKCON place for those of us who left to find each other again. I remember back in the early 80s when Murlivadana created a list that was circulated on paper of Prabhupada disciples and where they were currently. Yes there is the disciple database but where is everybody? What have they been doing since we last saw them? How do we ever find them if we only have their initiated names?

How I imagine this working is:

Start a topic...either general (Where are Detroit devotees from circa 1975?) or specific: Looking for (name) Dasi, Detroit temple 1972-75.

Describe the devotee a bit to orient people. Ask them to send you a private message with any contact info or to pass on your contact info or a message.

Keep in mind that the internet is not always a safe place, and we don't want to broadcast locations and contact info on the forum. We had an incident on another devotee related forum where someone started threatening physical violence, and some of us regretted having been open about what city we live in. So please be mindful of the security of everyone involved.
